Mrs. Patsy Bazile was a retired schoolteacher, wife, and mother. She was born in Opelousas, Louisiana as the only daughter among five siblings. Her mother and father were stern but instituted loving discipline in the family home. They also held bible study within the home while encouraging regular attendance of church service. Her parents were determined that she and her brothers would be reared with strong beliefs and connections to God. Thus, Patsy had always turned to God during all of her challenges in life. She remained open to His messages and guidance of her actions. After she is retired, she focused on her writing. She realized her writing was a gift from God, the Holy Spirit, that she had to share with others. She figured if she could just touch one life by sharing her faith, the measure of her blessed wisdom, and her life lessons with another, then she had done the work that God intended.
In July of 2017, Mrs. Patsy Bazile passed away due to heart failure, but mark is left behind through the loving and faithful impressions she made on her family and friends, the thousands of students she taught, her brothers and sisters in her church home and the many churches she visited, and her book, "Metaphors of Faith, Words of a Praying Woman." Today, her son and publisher, Daymond E. Lavine, continues to market and promote her book in his loving duty ensure his mother's faith extends as far and wide as possible.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
